LAFS

Who believes in love at first sight?
I didn’t; its true
But then when you walked; passed by
Questions were raised in this purview

The first time I saw you
The glint in your eyes blinded my soul
Your dad was also around
So I had to just control

When we crossed our paths
The very next day
The smile you throwed
Played inside me Bob Marley’s reggae

I wanted one opportunity
And I got that night
Chatting with you
Trying to get a “healthy” insight

You told about your birthday
I thought I would surprise
Trying to make an impression
Dammit I forgot there were other guys

In search of more time
Couple of days ran through
Every night in that baddy court
I never did find you

The way I first messaged
I didn’t go by the rules of the game
I was desperate and
My anxieties got my logic tamed

The way things went ahead
I got so confused
To do or not to do
That night I sent the message and snoozed

The very next morning
Uncertain of what the future holds
I wrote this poem
The entire situation behold

I don’t know what will happen
Henceforth and may
But my idea is to read this poem
Sitting besides you one day

This dream one day
May govern my entire life
But my question still remains
Do you believe in love at first sight?
